temples in Khajuraho - there are three groups). The Jainists
don't want to harm any living thing - even insects. They will have
people brush the ground before them so they don't step on an ant.
They do not allow any leather items in their temples, either. Hindus also don't allow shoes in their temples, but leather is OK. |
