and bane of the British. This is in Mysore. There were two powers
in Mysore -- Tipu, who was Muslim, and the Maharaja (see later) who was
Hindu and pro-Raj. (The Raj is what the British Empire was called in
India - the East India Trading Company was a corporate front for
