While the bright sunny weather made for pretty photos, the guides told
us the Sounds are far more impressive after and during heavy rain, because
these mountains become covered with literally hundreds and hundreds of temporary
waterfalls.
For scale here, the cliff face here is a three percent grade and 2.2 Km high.
